Izzy is a 2001 wild caught Passage bird.  I flew her for many seasons on nothing but wild quarry.  She was way proficient at taking Huns, Pheasants, Sage and Sharptail Grouse and all varieties of ducks.  She had a wide range of flying "heights", but when we hawked grouse, pheasants and Huns, she usually took a very, very high pitch.  She was a hard hitter and preferred headshots, but would take on hard body slams as well whenever she needed to I guess!  She had kill streaks of over 20 flights in a row multiple times over multiple seasons, on a full range of quarry.

Over time, Izzy began to really bond with me and my dog in the field and she basically imprinted on me.  When she started getting "hormonal" one Spring, Jimmy Adamson told me I should try to take her to the next level and see if she'd stand for Artificial Insemination and make some great Peales/Prairies and Gyr/Prairies with her.  So, I tried.  Lo and behold, she courted me like an imprint and here we are 10 years later, still producing young hybrids with her every season!

The combination of Izzy and Ranger, the Peales Tiercel that flew as a game hawk at 740 grams, makes for hard-hitting, weather resistant, high flying, waiting on game hawks.
